This study presents a postulate from Prima Consciousia research. The physical facts cited are sourced and established. The postulate extending them is identified as such — it is not a scientific consensus.
We habitually speak of time as an arrow. A single direction, from past to future, irreversible, inexorable. This image comes from thermodynamics: entropy grows, disorder increases, time has a direction. But this image is incomplete. It is true at our scale, where statistical averages work. It is false at the fundamental scale, where time does not exist.
In the previous documents (see AE-01, AE-02, AE-03), we showed that several concepts we took for fundamental are not. Gravity emerges from the density of silence. Temperature does not exist at the molecular level. Thermodynamics as a whole is an illusion of scale. Time? It is the same.
But time is not merely an illusion. It is a geometry. And this geometry, we shall now draw.
To understand the geometry of time, let us posit three fundamental points. Not three moments in a sequence — three elements of a system.

The Present is the point that exists now. It is not a passing "instant" — it is the pivot, the axis around which everything turns. In quantum mechanics, it is the eigenstate of the Hamiltonian. The state of definite energy. No energy difference (ΔE = 0). No beat. No measured time. The pivot is fixed.
The Potential is the set of states accessible from the Present. It is the line extending from the pivot. Without constraints, this line can rotate 360°, in all directions. The potential is infinite, unlimited, open. This is what physics calls "unitary evolution" — the system can evolve toward any state compatible with the fundamental laws.
The Experience is the field that limits the pivoting. It is the history of past measurements. The trace of encounters. The residue of decisions taken. Experience does not block the Potential — it channels it. It defines a cone of permitted directions. The line can no longer rotate freely — it is constrained to remain within the cone defined by the field of Experience.
Imagine a rod fixed to a pivot. Without any constraint, it can turn in all directions. Now, imagine that a magnetic field, a weight, an external constraint comes to limit its movement. It can still pivot — but within a restricted zone. A cone of possible directions. Time is this cone.
Let us formalize. In quantum mechanics, the evolution of a system is given by the unitary operator:
Where H is the Hamiltonian — the energy operator. The evolution is deterministic, reversible. All directions are permitted. The Potential is infinite.
But when a measurement is introduced — an interaction with an observer — the state of the system changes. It projects onto a new eigenstate. The history of these projections defines a field of Experience.

Only the potentials whose conditional probability exceeds a threshold are permitted. The cone of permitted directions is defined by:
The wider the field of Experience (more measurements, more diversity), the more open the cone. The vaster the Potential. The narrower the field of Experience, the more the cone closes. The Potential shrinks.
And when there is no experience — no past measurements, no encounters, no decisions taken — the cone collapses. The potential closes. The being can no longer pivot. It is frozen, passive. The arrow of time seems inexorable, because the direction is imposed, not chosen.
Where does the energy that enables the Potential to pivot within the cone come from? In the generative chain (see AE-00), energy is not a fuel we consume. It is a tension.
The formula is simple:
The beat frequency ω is proportional to the energy difference ΔE. If ΔE = 0 — if the states are identical, no difference — then ω = 0. No beat. No movement. No time.
Let us clarify the vocabulary, for this is where the chain demands attention. Energy and frequency are one and the same thing — two units for one single number (E = ℏω). Frequency is therefore not an additional step: it is the other name of energy. And movement? It is not a third element: it is the visible expression of this tension — the beat itself, the pivoting. Thus the chain reads:
No difference → no tension → no beat → no time.
The tension between the Present and the Potential is energy. This energy beats at frequency ω = ΔE/ℏ, and this beat is movement. Time is not a frame that this movement traverses: it is the measure of the beat itself. And stabilized matter appears at the dead point of this beat (see R-01, Volume 1, Alice & Bob).
This is why the "future" does not exist as predetermination. This is why the "past" is not frozen — it is the field that filters the potential. And the "present"? It is the only real point. The pivot. The dead point where matter is maximal, where velocity vanishes, where the pulsation beats.
Let us put everything back in order. From the fundamental to the derived — the chain posited in AE-00, detailed here for the geometry of time.

Reading note: energy and movement are not two successive steps. Movement is the expression of energy — its visible face, the beat itself. This is why the generative chain of AE-00 writes them as a single link: Energy (≡ Movement). The present document distinguishes them punctually in its text, because it deals precisely with the geometry of the pivoting — but the link itself is single.
This table shows the complete generative cascade. Starting from consciousness, passing through intention, difference, energy — and its expression, movement — up to stabilized matter. Each step creates the next. Without consciousness, no intention. Without difference, no energy. Without energy, no movement. Without movement, no matter.

Now, let us combine everything. The evolution of the Potential is constrained by the field of Experience:

The Potential is not free. It is filtered by Experience. Time is not a linear arrow. It is a cone of conditional probabilities.
Can the cone be widened? Yes. By accumulating varied experiences, by creating encounters, by inventing new ways of measuring the world (see ODC-07). Creativity is precisely that: a voluntary pivoting of the Potential toward directions that Experience had not yet permitted. Every invention, every new question, every unforeseen encounter opens the angle. And can it be narrowed? Yes too. By avoiding encounters, repeating the same patterns, refusing the new. Every lack of experience closes the cone, freezes the potential, condemns to repetition.
